There is a distinct ability within us that we often neglect to activate as Christians. We follow and conform to many trendy and secular precepts without examining the status of their alignment with God’s Word. The world promotes mastery by advising that one should look inwardly for answers. If you search deep within, they assure you that you will find your true potential which will assist you in the mastering of your destiny.
It’s natural for one to feel inclined towards the pursuit of self-discovery and self-mastery. The carnal minded man will always centre his beliefs and pursuits around “self”. As Christians however, we know that our identity is centred on our Creator, the Almighty God. We know that it is not about how much money or resources we have but about whom we have resident within us. Our advantage in this world is the backing of the Holy Spirit and so we should guard the presence of God and the anointing it brings faithfully.
As genuine believers, we all have the privilege of hosting the Holy Spirit who is the divine life that dwells within us and whose ability works within us to bring change and impact into this world. Have you ever felt crippled trying to achieve a result that you knew only God’s presence could achieve? If the spirit of God is not hovering over your situation, finances, relationship, career or health, then your efforts are dead. God’s presence and anointing is what breaks yokes and activates the agents of change.
We know that every gate can be opened to those in possession of its keys. If the spirit realm controls the physical realm, we need to have access to the only Spirit that embodies dominion and true mastery. How does one access the gate within themselves where God’s ability lays? That is the fundamental question we should be asking. How do we release and express the ability of God through us so that we can move our mountains?
An unbeatable and unstoppable union constitutes of you and God. As God’s earthly stewards, we should study to show ourselves approved. Every possibility in this realm is dependent upon the activation of the ability of God and the anointing within us, however, that anointing and ability must be released. It is not automatic. The talents, gifting, callings and purposes assigned to us must find expression in a way that people can relate to for God to be glorified. When God directs you and makes you aware of the abilities within you, it is not for your glory but for His. God is looking for human vessels who can host the ability of the spirit and release it for people to be blessed by it.
If all you need is faith as small as a mustard seed to move a mountain, then why do we lack the power and authority to make our mountains move? It is not enough to desire to move a mountain. You need a revelation of knowledge to command the possibilities of change. A mountain will always show up a measure of ignorance in your life because every gate can surely be opened if one possesses the key. The mountain is there to guide and remind you that there is a key you need. There is a component of ignorance lurking in your life. There is a dimension of God you need to seek.
The anointing of the Holy Spirit works in levels and there are possibilities within the measure of every level. The anointing on your life can only solve the obstacles that are equal to its value. This is why you will always need the Holy Spirit. You will never get to a place where you are so anointed that you are no longer dependent on the power of the Holy Ghost. Only God can upgrade your anointing to move your mountain. Only God can reveal the secrets of His knowledge to overcome your bondage.
What then shall we do in our pursuit of God’s ability? We shall partner with the God for whom all things are possible and we shall allow Him to build our house so we labour not in vain.
1 John 2:27
“As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit – just as it has taught you, remain in him.”
